Nearly four months ago, on November 19, 2017 cult leader Charles Manson passed away while serving a life sentence. When the Kern County Coroner received the body of Manson they thought it would be a simple matter stating “When we received it, we thought no one would claim the body. We assumed it would be an easy matter to take care of.” They assumed wrong, at least five people tried to claim the remains. One person claimed to be a pen pal of Charles while another claimed to be Manson’s illegitimate son.
Today a California judge has ended the wrangle over the remains of the cult leader by awarding custody to his grandson, Jason Freeman.
