Since the new “Halloween” film was announced there was reason to believe that the film would replace “Halloween III: Season of the Witch” and continue where Halloween 2 left off. That isn’t the case though as Gordon Green and co-writer Danny McBride have suggested that even Halloween 2 is going to be wiped from the timeline.
If this is true, It’s possible Laurie Strode might not be Micheal’s sister since the big reveal took place in Halloween 2 and McBride also recently noted that he wasn’t a big fan of them being siblings.
During a Q&A with Stereo Gum John Carpenter himself said:
“It’s kind of a… I don’t know how to describe it. It’s almost an alternative reality,” “It picks up after the first one and it pretends that none of the others were made. It’s gonna be fun. There’s a really talented director and it was well-written. I’m impressed.”
Jamie Lee Curtis is still playing the role of Laurie Strode, while Judy Greer is in talks to play Laurie’s daughter, Karen Strode.
“Laurie Strode comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.”
Michael returns October 19th, 2018
