Jeepers Creepers 3 Premiere Cancelled Due To Protest Threats, Playing Worldwide “One Night Only”

If you are unaware of the director of Jeepers Creeper’s past let me sum it up for you. Vicor Salve was in his late 20’s when he directed his feature-length movie, Clownhouse.

The movie is about three young brothers who are terrorized by a bunch of deranged escaped mental patients dressed in clown costumes. The youngest of the brothers, Casey, was played by 12-year-old Nathan Forrest Winters.
During filming, Salva kept Winters behind on set, where he secretly filmed himself forcing the kid to give and receive oral sex. When Winters told his parents about the abuse, the authorities raided Vincent Salva’s house. They found enough pornographic material of children — including the tapes of 12-year-old Winters being molested — to sentence Salva to three years in prison, of which he served 15 months.

Salva’s past seems to be catching up to him, Considering people are threatening to protest the premiere event.

The premiere event was scheduled for September 13 at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles and had sold out in a matter of days. Jeepers Creepers and Jeepers Creepers 3 were to be screened back-to-back with cast members from all three entries in the series in attendance for the event. However, following threat of protest, the management at TCL felt it was best to cancel the screening and not harm their reputation. As reported by Horror Freak News, this message was sent to customers who purchased tickets for the Jeepers Creepers 3 event.

“Dear Valued Customer, We would like to inform you that due to events beyond our control, the screening event hosted by @Moviedude18 for ‘Jeepers Creepers and Jeepers Creepers 3’ on Wednesday September 13, 2017 will no longer take place at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause your party. We have worked with Fandango to refund your purchase directly. You should see the refund in your account within the next few days. We would like to offer you free passes. You may redeem them at the box office upon your next visit by showing this email or we can mail them to you if you provide us with your mailing address. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.”

An update on this is Jeepers Creepers 3 will be playing nationwide in theaters for one night only on Sep. 26, 2017. You can purchase tickets from AMC and Cinemark theaters if the film is playing in your area.
